We are seeking a Senior Account Executive to provide support on a diverse mix of nonprofit (arts, literary, environment, social justice) and lifestyle accounts (design, architecture, crafts). This is a great opportunity to develop your skills by being mentored by the firm’s founder.
The ideal candidate is someone who is:
- Experience managing 3-4 large accounts and managing and delegating work to junior team members
- A track record of placing stories in a range of national and local media across print, broadcast, and online
- An excellent writer with experience in writing pitches, press releases, and bylines/op-eds
- Can leverage existing contacts, bring in new partners, and foster relationships to grow a client’s profile and impact
- On top of the latest current events and pop culture and business trends—and always on the lookout for ways that clients can capitalize on them
- Curious, outgoing, energetic, and eager to learn
Candidate requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in PR, communications, journalism, or political science
- 4-5 years of experience in PR including day-to-day account management, media relations, and writing
- Based in the New York City area. This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days in the office each week for the first six months and then 2-3 days in offer thereafter.
