Slam dunk: State Farm on Mashable

During the NBA’s Christmas Day television extravaganza, State Farm debuted a major national ad campaign with LA Clippers’ star Chris Paul, who also portrayed his fictional twin brother Cliff Paul in the high-concept ad. 

PKPR was brought in to assist in bringing Cliff Paul to life online. Our firm worked closely with the ad agency behind the campaign to build buzz and turn Cliff Paul into a social media star.

PKPR build buzz for the campaign with stories on Huffington Post, Mediabistro (AgencySpy), Hooped Up, Yardbarker, Uproxx, Contently, and Black Sports Online. The press helped Cliff Paul’s twitter account reach 25,000 followers and pushed over 750,000 people to view the ad on YouTube.

The online campaign culminated with PKPR securing the exclusive world premiere of the second Cliff Paul ad on Mashable, who called the social media campaign “clever and wildly popular… a hit with fans online.”
