Laurie Wayburn of Pacific Forest Trust published an op-ed in The Progressive Perspectives debunking common myths about what trees and forests actually do for us.
The piece has already been syndicated across more than 25 outlets across the country, including The Sacramento Bee and Newsday.
In her op-ed, Wayburn writes: “This Arbor Day, we should not only plant saplings but protect existing forests, ensuring that timber production happens sustainably on landscapes that deliver water security, climate resilience, and biodiversity.”
