Björk Wows at Housing Works Books

Last night, 300 lucky guests crowded into Housing Works Bookstore for by musical legend Björk and The Dirty Projectors. Jon Pareles of The New York Times called it Björk’s “smallest gig of the year,” and Time Out New York hailed it as “the event of the year.”  For an overview of what the bookstore is all about, check out this profile in the New York Post – A Novel Idea. The intimate show raised $40,000 for Housing Works Inc., which provides direct services for homeless New Yorkers with HIV and AIDS.
