For World Oceans Day today, Ryan Bigelow, the Conservation Alliance for Seafood Solutions project director, wrote an op-ed for Food Dive, a leading food industry news outlet, on why the seafood industry must recognize that healthy seas require safeguarding human rights.

PKPR client Conservation Alliance for Seafood Solutions (CASS) is a community builder in the responsible seafood movement that believes people make more progress when they work together.

PKPR developed and executed the communications strategy for the 2024 launch of new human and worker rights guidance from the Alliance, a coalition of leading grocery chains, restaurant brands, distributors, and fisheries.

To build momentum, PKPR crafted a media plan around a preview at the Alliance’s annual trade show and a national launch webinar, resulting in 20 media placements with a combined monthly reach of over 50 million. We also elevated thought leadership by placing op-eds in key industry outlets including Food Dive and TriplePundit.

To maximize member amplification, PKPR created a promotional toolkit that drove high-profile support, including Albertsons publishing and promoting an op-ed across major news wire services.
