An innovative audio monitoring initiative that records gunshots, barking dogs, and poacher conversations is helping authorities more effectively track and curtail jaguar poachers in Central American jungles. PKPR placed a segment on NPR’s Science Friday which features some unintended audio symphonies of birds, monkeys, and other wildlife that erupt into chorus when people are absent.
