Creative Exchange in Quartz, DIY Network

Over the summer, PKPR has placed stories in outlets from Quartz to DIY Network to Food Republic on how Creative Exchange is helping communities nationwide replicate Community Supported Art programs.  The program is modeled after Community Supported Agriculture, but instead of buying a share to receive produce from a local farm, shareholders receive boxes of original art made by local artists.

PKPR Client: Springboard for the Arts

Springboard for the Arts cultivates vibrant neighborhoods by connecting artists with the skills, resources, and opportunities they need to not only make a living but to make positive change in their communities.

PKPR has worked with Springboard for the Arts on national outreach since 2014, elevating the organization’s innovative approach to supporting artists and creative community development.

Most recently, we promoted its Universal Basic Income for Artists program as a national model, securing coverage in major outlets including NPR, Business Insider, and Newsweek to demonstrate the economic impact of direct support to artists We also positioned organizational leadership as thought leaders on artist equity and economic policy by placing op-eds in Stanford Social Innovation Review, Salon, The Guardian, and Common Dreams, establishing Springboard as a leading voice in the intersection of arts policy and social innovation.

Springboard for the Arts is based in St. Paul and Fergus Falls, Minnesota.
