Pacific Forest Trust was featured in the San Francisco Chronicle’s front-page story on California’s cap-and-invest overhaul, which may gut the fund that supports the state’s most critical wildfire, forest, and climate programs.
Pacific Forest Trust president and co-founder Laurie Wayburn puts it plainly: “What we know is that climate change impacts are accelerating. This is going to push us back four or five years. We’re not going to make the 2030 targets. We might not make the 2045 targets.”
